Campionati Mondiali Master Malaga 2018 Marcia 5000m Uomini

L’Italia, ai Campionati Mondiali Master di Malaga, va subito a segno con la strepitosa prestazione dell’orvietano Romolo Pelliccia (Ass. Atl. Libertas Orvieto) che nella marcia 5000m straccia la concorrenza distaccando il più diretto rivale di quasi 3 minuti. Fresco di record mondiale proprio sulla pista di casa con 28:03.34, a Malaga, ha conquistato l’unica medaglia d’oro della gara uomini sui 12 giri e mezzo su pista. Nella stessa gara Vincenzo Menafro (Atl. Malnate) giunge in 6^ posizione. Un altro “storico” marciatore della cat. M70 Ettorino Formentin (Us Quercia Trentingrana) si mette al collo un bellissimo argento mondiale. Medaglia di legno nella M75 per Gianfranco De Lucia (A.S.D. Kronos Roma) categoria ricca di atleti italiani. Giunge 7° Amatore Michieletto (Brema Running Team) e 9° Pier Giorgio Andreotti (Atletica Lonato). Nella M55 conquista un buon 14° posto  Antonio Sansevrino (P.B.M. Bovisio Masciago) mentre nella M40 Igor Sapunov (GA Aristide Coin Venezia 1949) è 11° nella gara vinta dal Keniano Eric Maugo Sikuku con un crono molto interessante per un M40: 20:45.08.
